NURS 5360 Health & Illness: Diverse Populations II

Comprehensive and focused evidence-based care of patients in diverse populations with complex health conditions will be examined. The nurse's role in assuring coordination, integration, and continuity of care is investigated. Integration of physical, behavioral, psychological, spiritual, socioeconomic, and environmental factors that influence patient-centered care are explored in the context of advanced pathophysiology, pharmacology and physical assessment. Collaboration with other health care team members to provide safe and quality care for diverse patients in a variety of complex care settings is analyzed. Information management tools to monitor outcomes of care are evaluated.
