EDUC 5312 Educational Methods I
This graduate-level course is designed to help elementary educators develop effective and integrated teaching strategies for Language Arts (including reading and writing), Social Sciences, and Fine Arts. The course emphasizes the creation of cross-disciplinary lessons that foster a holistic learning experience, blending literacy, history, culture, and creativity to engage students.? Participants will explore best practices for teaching foundational reading and writing skills, promoting critical thinking in social studies, and utilizing the arts to enhance learning and self-expression. Through collaborative projects, classroom strategies, and hands-on activities, educators will gain the skills necessary to integrate these subject areas in ways that inspire curiosity, encourage creativity, and motivate young learners.
