PHEN 2060 Astrophysics
The main focus of this course will be stellar astrophysics. The course will cover the historical development of astronomy, optics and spectroscopy, telescopes, gravitation, planetary systems and comparative planetology, general relativity, stellar structure, H R diagrams, stellar evolution, and galaxies. Lab is included in this course. This course is intended for science majors interested in astronomy.
