Independent Study

Independent study is encouraged for situations where a student is interested in exploring a topic not regularly covered in the curriculum. A student needs to have a cooperating instructor for the independent study and he or she needs to make an arrangement with the faculty member before applying and registering for the course. A form, available from the Office of the Registrar, needs to be completed and signed in order to register for an independent study.
