Student Care
Student Care provides one-on-one support, guidance, resources, and referrals for North Park students experiencing difficulties related to mental and physical health, basic needs concerns, personal and family emergencies, financial issues, or other concerns. Student Care is committed to assisting students with successfully navigating life at North Park while prioritizing student well-being and academic success.
Student Care coordinates care and support following illness or hospitalization and supports students returning from a medical leave of absence. Through the university’s Early Alert Reporting System (EARS), the Student Care Coordinator responds to concerns from the North Park community about students in distress. In collaboration with other offices on campus, a variety of events are offered to encourage overall wellness and support the university community.
The Student Care Coordinator Serves as the university's HOUSE Liaison, in accordance with the Illinois Public Act 102-0083. Students experiencing homelessness or students in care can contact the Student Care Coordinator for support and resources.
Students experiencing mental health challenges, physical health challenges, or concerns with access to basic needs can receive support by contacting the Center for Student Engagement. The Student Care Coordinator is located in the Center for Student Engagement on the first floor of the Johnson Center.
