Change of Degree

Students who desire to change to a different degree program must complete a Change of Degree form found on the Seminary website. They must attach to the petition a brief description (1–2 paragraphs) of the reasons for desiring a change of degree including its likely impact on vocational outcomes. Students must talk with their advisor prior to filing the petition, and the signature of their advisor on a change of degree petition implies that it has been read and discussed with the student. Final approval is determined by the Seminary Dean of Faculty. In some cases, a petition for change of degree may be reviewed by the Academic Cabinet. In cases of dual degree students, the School of Business will be consulted. If a student wants to pursue a dual degree program or a cohort certificate program, the student must apply through the Office of Seminary Admission.
