ISIT 4060 Strategic Management of Information System Projects

This capstone course integrates knowledge and skills acquired in previous courses and presents strategic approaches for identifying organizational information systems projects and evaluating the acquisition, development and implementation of those projects. Additional topics include managing risk; systematic processes and methods organizations use to initiate, specify and prioritize information systems projects, determine their feasibility, and identify acquisition alternatives. A systemized methodology for managing information systems projects is also presented. Students develop a strategic project plan to develop and manage an information system project addressing a business challenge or opportunity.
