PHEN 2220 Engineering Mathematics and Programming

This course introduces mathematical tools utilizing the programming skills covered in PHEN 2310. Topics such as introduction to numerical methods involving the solution of a system of linear equations by various techniques such as L-U decomposition, Gauss-Jordan, and Gauss-Seidel Methods. Important concepts of probability and statistics such as simple theorems, conditional probability, Bayes Theorem, random variables, discrete and continuous distributions, Binomial, Poisson, normal distributions, correlation, and linear regression will be covered.
