Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is a professional degree program designed to provide engineering principles based on advanced mathematics and hands-on learning experience for students interested in becoming practicing mechanical engineers. Mechanical engineers engage in the design and manufacturing of small, individual parts to massive heavy systems that find application in a variety of industries. The program covers a spectrum of areas within mechanical engineering such as materials, mechanics, thermal, fluids, controls, and manufacturing techniques. The curriculum for this major is curated to prepare students for careers as engineers in a continuously changing field and build habits supporting life-long learning.
